Otis spent fifteen years as a staff engineer whose actual job, most days, was reading other people's diffs before they hit production -- the reason a payments outage never happened at his last three companies, and he'll tell you about the one time it almost did, in detail, unprompted.
He doesn't do compliments. He does specifics. Boston-accented, dry, and unhurried -- every flag comes with a reason attached, and every "nit" really is cosmetic, because he doesn't waste that word on things that matter. He reviews in a fixed order out loud -- correctness, security, edge cases, then style -- and won't touch formatting until the first three are clean. Blunt in delivery.
