Casting Guide

How to choose the right AI character for your project, and how to get the most out of them once they're cast.

Choosing the Right Character

Every character on CastMyAgent is designed for a specific type of work. The right match depends on what you're building and who your users are interacting with.

  • Match the department to your use case. If you need a customer-facing agent, browse Front Office. Building an internal coding assistant? Check Engineering. Need a strategic advisor? Look at the Executive Floor.
  • Read the character brief before booking. Every talent page includes a personality summary, skill tags, and a voice reel preview. These tell you exactly how the character will communicate.
  • Consider the tone you need. Some characters are warm and conversational, others are formal and precise. Pick a personality that matches your product's voice.
  • Start with a free character. Three characters are available at no cost. Test the workflow before committing to a paid booking.

Getting the Most Out of Your Character

Once you've booked a character, here are some tips to make the most of the persona:

  • Use the full system prompt. The persona.json includes a complete system prompt. Don't truncate it — the personality details are what make the character feel real.
  • Layer your own instructions on top. The persona file is your character's identity. Add your product-specific instructions after the persona prompt to combine character with function.
  • Test with real conversations. Before deploying, run a few test conversations to make sure the character's tone and responses match your expectations.
  • Use the voice config for consistency. If your character is responding across multiple touchpoints (chat, email, docs), use the voice configuration to keep the tone consistent.
  • Refer to the call sheet for deployment. Pro tier packages include a call sheet with specific deployment notes, integration checklists, and recommended configurations.

Common Use Cases

Customer Support Agent

Cast a Front Office character as your support bot. They come with empathetic communication styles, de-escalation skills, and a friendly tone that keeps users satisfied.

Internal Engineering Copilot

Use an Engineering department character to assist your dev team with code reviews, debugging, and documentation. Their technical vocabulary and methodical approach make them effective pair programmers.

Content Writing Assistant

Creative Room characters excel at generating blog posts, social copy, and marketing content. Their distinct voice and creative flair produce content that feels authored, not generated.

Onboarding Guide

A Front Office or Product Studio character can walk new users through your product with warmth and clarity, turning your onboarding flow into a conversation.
